about the company
Your future employee is a fast growing contractor in the industry who are looking to expand and penetrate the market. They projects range from building works such as residential and commercial as well as civil infrastructure. Currently they are looking for a Purchasing/Procurement Manager to join them and develop his/her own team for the expansion plan.

about the job

  • Responsible for negotiation, follow up on all pre and post contracts management including issuance of official letter, addendum, draft of LOA and ensure every single deal/contract is in favour to company and project.
  • Responsible for overall procurement of relevant raw & building materials, subcontracting works.
  • Source of reliable suppliers & contractors and to ensure project cost within budget and/or to maximise project savings and/or profits.
  • Verify and approve purchase requisitions by reviewing cost comparison report, clarifying unclear items, recommend alternatives or substitutes, propose value engineering, etc.
  • Verify and approve on materials requisitions, site measurements of work done, progress claims and invoices.
  • Working hand in hand with other departments within the company to ensure smooth and efficient procurement process and on time project delivery.
  • Follow up and look into overall procurement and purchasing administrative matters and any other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Preparation of cost studies, feasibility studies, cost/budget planning & control for projects.
  • Plan and forecast company monthly cash flow and expenses.
  • Responsible for negotiation, follow up on all pre and post contracts management and to ensure every single deal/contract is in favour to company and project.
  • Follow up and look into overall administrative matters of various contracts and subcontract works including recommendation of payments, variation order certificates, etc.
  • Evaluate and setup proper Standard Operation Procedures when necessary.

about the manager/team
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director.

skills and experience required

  • Minimum a degree in the relevant field.
  • Experience in procurement/purchasing is a must.
  • Experience in landed (residential & commercial) and civil infrastructure is a must.
  • Experience in developing/starting up a procurement/purchasing team is highly desirable.
  • 8 years and above experience in the relevant field.
  • Able to work with independently and able to manage multiple stakeholders across the board.
  • Able to work under effectively under pressure and manage timelines accordingly.
