About the client
As part of a global initiative, our client a large Retail MNC, a world leader in its space.Is currently looking for a Regional Finance Controller to take the helm for their operations here in Malaysia.Ideally seeking an individual whom is savvy in Accounting operations and FP&A.Role would encompass stablising the finance team here,and then taking on a more broad role for the group.
About the job

  • The job holder has a key management position within the Retail division and influences business policy.
  • Success in this role will require the establishment of proactive and collaborative relations with Regional and Group functions, Divisional Management, Business Unit Management, BP&A, Country Finance and RBS Finance.
  • Establish a proactive community dynamic within Finance of financial control and expertise, providing structured and unstructured training, guidance and coaching as required
  • Maintains strong relationship with statutory auditors, tax advisers, group finance, legal, etc to ensure a well-coordinated retail business operation at all times in the region.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of a shared services function across the region with uniform application of processes across the region. Establish together with Management the strategy for the Retail Asia Division in regard to the establishment and effective operation of SSF activities across the region.
  • To ensure we have a streamlined legal entity structure across the region. Continuously work with group finance, legal, treasury and tax teams to put in place a most appropriate legal infrastructure to allow for proper governance in the region.

To apply

  • Possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/CPA/MIA Equivalent
  • Possess at least 12 years working experience in a managerial capacity,and has had regional exposure,if previous in the Middle East would be an advantage.
  • Prior work experience in Retail/Pharma/FMCG Industry will be an advantage
