about our client

Our client is a trusted partner to banks and financial institutions in Asia with operations in Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

about the role

This is role will be a part of the Group Support team and will be based in Malaysia. On an overall level, you will lead and partake in prioritized objectives, projects, and initiatives the company has decided to focus on to achieve its’ overall strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for carrying out human resources recommendations as well as work closely together with the local HR Managers, Managing Directors, and Chief Operating Officer.

Key responsibilities

  • Identifying short-term and long-term hiring needs
  • Setting performance standards and evaluating local HR teams
  • Design and implement company policies that comply with our business objectives
  • Building and maintaining a strong local and regional employer brand
  • Define onboarding procedures in alignment with our company culture
  • Help organize employer branding activities
  • Ensure all HR operations adhere to legal standards
  • Support staff and managers on day-to-day issues
  • Determine training plans per employee and department
  • Coordinate with National HR Manager to craft organization-wide strategies and objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of proven working experience in end-to-end Human Resources facets
  • Understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Good knowledge of local Malaysia labor regulations and willingness to learn about the other Regional
  • Offices’ basic local labor regulations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and Human Resources Management Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong customer experience focus and understanding of customer journey mapping.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and internal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • University degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management and the like
