about the company

Our client is a chemical company who has been operating in Malaysia for 30 years. They are based in Shah Alam. Right now, they are looking for a Regional HR Manager to join their family.

about the role

This is a Regional HR Manager position that reports to the Head of ASEAN Cluster. Our client is looking for someone who can support this function independently.

duties

  • Responsible for the ASEAN scope
  • Act as HR advisor to consult, share insights, coach and challenge cluster leaders on critical HR topics.
  • Build and maintain a relationship as trusted strategic HR partner with key stakeholders in the country.
  • Proactively identify organization needs and provide appropriate HR solutions to support the cluster and local strategy.
  • Supervise all hiring for positions in the cluster and involve directly in the country in charge.
  • Supports Line Managers and delivers local solutions covering multiple areas of human resources including employment, local benefits, training & development, manpower planning, personnel budgeting, records administration

skills & experience

  • Minimum of 10 - 11 years of professional HR experience in a multinational company environment.
  • Experience in managing sub-regional HR topics would be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership to drive the organization in any transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational and cultural awareness.
  • Strong business affinity and acumen, experience working with senior management and ability to operate and influence with impact in a matrix environment.
  • Entrepreneurial and customer focus with strong drive to successfully steer HR solutions in the region.
  • Flexible to travel when business needs and projects require.
