Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounting records, including managing daily accounting operations such as GL schedules.
- Execute month-end closing activities, including GL journal entries and intercompany journal entries on a global scale.
- Prepare and maintain ad-hoc non-GL accounting journal entries as required.
- Ensure the timely preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
- Perform reconciliations and provide insights through flux analysis on P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Conduct weekly cash flow forecasting with a focus on the GL.
- Collaborate with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to update Treasury with weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Perform and facilitate intercompany balance reconciliations and confirmations.
- Participate in and lead process and ERP system improvements and enhancements.
- Ensure that financial reporting complies with relevant standards, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to internal control procedures.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, regulators, and government offices.
- Take on additional responsibilities as determined by the reporting manager; the job scope may evolve in line with the growth and development of the Finance organization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting; ACCA or CPA certification is a plus.
- 8-10 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience working in multinational companies is preferred.
- Experience with Big 4 firms is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Excel, and Dynamics 365) is essential; experience with Sun Microsystems is a plus.
- The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work under tight deadlines. They should be a good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to work effectively across functions. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills for problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization are essential.
