about the job
- Manage and lead the Finance and Credit Control team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations including payables and debt collection.
- Handle full set of accounts, managing financial reporting including all aspects of accounting planning and execution, month-end closing, AP reconciliation and payments.
- Provide financial reporting and updates to Management including the preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure full compliance with the latest accounting standards, policies and procedures, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of financial and management reporting, financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of tax computation and tax filing.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, government authorities, banks, and vendors.
about the manager/team
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be managing a team of 2.
skills & experience required
- Local Malaysian with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting. ACCA/CPA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience, preferably with retail exposure.
- High level of integrity, dependable, results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
