about the job
- Analyze seismic data to determine the layout of oil and gas fields.
- Proficient in conducting seismic correlation and forward modeling.
- Utilize Petrel software for tasks like seismic interpretation, velocity modeling, and structural modeling.
- Employ seismic attribute mapping and amplitude analysis to support the modeling of reservoir properties and facies.
- Furnish geologists and engineers with precise depth maps and comprehensive geomorphology interpretations derived from seismic attribute maps for constructing Petrel 3D models.
- Identify targets for development and nearby exploration drilling.
- Evaluate resources and assess risks associated with identified leads and prospects.
- Identify and plan for shallow hazards, including relief well preparation before drilling.
- Prepared to provide technical guidance and share knowledge with the team.
- Plan and oversee the execution of seismic surveys and their subsequent processing.
- Conduct AVO (Amplitude Versus Offset) and seismic inversion studies.
skills & experience required
- Bachelor Degree in Geophysics or Geoscience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in upstream O&G sector
- Proficient in Petrel geophysical tools. Experience in HampsonRussell or other software will have an advantage
- Good and effective communication
