about the job
- Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the company's sustainability and ESG strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
- ESG Reporting: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Integrate sustainability practices into all stages of property development, including planning, design, construction, and operation. Ensure projects meet or exceed sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, WELL).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, tenants, regulatory bodies, and community groups, to promote sustainability initiatives and foster strong relationships.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities, implementing measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities to enhance the value of the property portfolio.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current on sustainability trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Lead initiatives to adopt innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of sustainability professionals, fostering a culture of sustainability excellence and continuous learning.
- Sustainable Supply Chain Management: Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure that sustainable practices are embedded in sourcing, materials selection, and vendor management.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sustainability budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
skills & experiences required
- Bachelor's in Environmental Science/Finance/Business/Engineering with Sustainability or ESG exposure
- Experienced in sustainability strategy management
- Strong understanding of sustainability issues & trends, including carbon footprint, circular economy and ESG reporting
