We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our client's dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP programming, along with proficiency in related technologies and frameworks. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications that meet both client requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

Application Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements.
Design and implement scalable and efficient web applications using PHP and related technologies.
Develop and integrate APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality across different systems.
Implement frontend designs, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface.

Code Quality and Testing:

Write well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to junior developers.
Perform unit testing and debugging to identify and fix issues promptly.

Performance Optimization:

Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring applications are highly responsive and efficient.
Optimize database queries and data access patterns to enhance overall system performance.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and skill development.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in PHP and web development, advocating for the adoption of new technologies when appropriate.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.
Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and potential roadblocks.

Maintenance and Support:

Participate in the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications, addressing issues and implementing feature requests.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, providing timely support to ensure the smooth functioning of deployed applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong proficiency in PHP, along with knowledge of relevant frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular).
Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience in writing optimized SQL queries.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
Experience in cloud services such as AWS, GCP or Azure is an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
Proactive attitude and a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field.
