We are urgently looking for a Senior Product Development Manager for one of the top global F&B Manufacturers in Malaysia. This position needs super urgent attention.

Location: Johor
Reporting to: Regional Head of R&D
Team size: 6

the role
  • Experience of translating strategy and briefs into specific development opportunities.
  • To ensure all new products are discussed with the Technical team in relation to HACCP and food safety requirements.
  • Creating a confident and honest relationship with our customers – ensuring lines of communication are constantly open and accessible.
  • Creating innovative, cost-effective new products and presenting them in a professional manner to customers.
  • To work with the commercial teams to develop applications for both customer specific and new branded products and suggest potential new concepts to be developed
  • Ensure that the process development team has all the necessary information & documentation to be able to take the product to launch
  • To liaise with the project leader to agree timings for the development elements within the project plan and ensure that they are delivered to achieve the target launch date.
  • Liaising with all key ‘functions (commercial, technical, production, process, planning, stock control) in order to facilitate new product development on site.
the requirement
  • Degree in Food Science , Bakery Science or Chemistry (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in oil/fats/confectionery/bakery or similar products
  • Good planning, organisation and communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of HACCP principles.
