about the job

  • Collate, prepare and review tax calculations, estimates & reports accruals and purpose partnering with country, regional and corporate finance, tax, legal business and operations terms.
  • Review and consolidate all schedules (prepared by other relevant team members in-charge of analysis of tax information) into complete tax computation and prepare tax return form for related financial organizations.
  • Prepare/review (as assigned) of final tax returns for subsidiaries within the allocated portfolio(s) to ensure timely and diligent submission including ensuring all tax information are given to the tax agents are in order and within stipulated time frame.
  • Verification of non-resident payments for withholding tax applicability and vetting of contracts to ensure tax issues are highlighted and mitigated.
  • Service tax returns preparation/review (as assigned) and to ensure timely and concise submission for entities within respective portfolio(s).
  • Accomodating and addressing to queries from tax authorities and handling any other tax administrative/compliance matters (e.g. refund application, tax credit set-off application, backlog issues, revision of tax returns, obtaining tax clearance, etc) for the companies under respective portfolio(s).
  • Lead, participate and enhance process and controls improvement methodologies and framework within Group Tax or Group Finance as and when required.
  • Establishing and developing appropriate systems or processes for tax risk management for the Group.
  • Act as the key point of contact and support for our local and regional taxation matters to liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support for the Group.
  • Other advisory/project/papers/tax related/department related (ad hoc/as assigned).

skills & experience

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Finance - Taxation or equivalent, managing & developing a team of 6.
