Reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee, the incumbent is responsible to manage an in-house risk and audit team and lead the improvement of internal control, mitigating risks and improving effectiveness in all areas throughout the Group.
Risk Management
- Establish ongoing effective mechanisms to assess risks and controls within the Group and its subsidiary companies to effectively anticipate uncertainties in its business operations.
- Perform continuous review of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework to be aligned with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Develop company risk information requirements, reporting thresholds and methods for determining priorities.
- Undertake independent review and assessment of existing operational procedures for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for the company-wide mitigation of risk through central controls and processes.
- Promoting Risk Management awareness within the group and embedding the awareness in all key activities and business processes.
- Prepare Risk Management report to management and Board Risk Management Committee.
Internal Audit
- Reviews and evaluates the internal control systems, risk management processes and governance practices within the Group in order to provide assurance on the integrity, adequacy and effectiveness of such systems.
- Formulate, review and executes the Annual Audit to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness and where necessary, make revisions.
- Establish audit programs for new auditable areas and ensure existing audit programs are promptly revised to reflect the changes in the process flow, internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Review the KPIs for internal auditors and ensure it is in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan.
- Report results of audit activities to the Audit Committee and recommend improvements to the system of internal control.
- Builds a strong, strategically focused and value-adding internal audit function to meet the expectations of key stakeholders.
- Advices the management on critical areas of concern and risks that may affect the performance/reputation of the Group.
- Monitor and advise on the latest internal audit approaches and relevant legislations.
- Provide support in all stages of audit activities and/or audit assignments.

Reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee, the team is made up of a team of diverse professionals who believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. You will be managing a team of 2. The team works well.
skills & experience required
- Malaysian citizen with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ACCA/CPA/CIA. Preferably a member of IIA Malaysia.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the area of corporate compliance, risk management and internal auditing.
- Experience working with Board of Directors, well versed with corporate governance principles and practices as well as regulatory requirements governing public listed companies.
- Comfortable in presenting to the committee and able to build strong working relationships with the operational management and team members.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build plans and motivate others towards a common vision.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for details and internal control.
