about the company

Randstad is partnering with a Switzerland based MNC company that specialise in FMCG manufacturing company. The company is going thru global expansion currentyly and looking for a Supply Chain Manager as part of their startegic planning.

about the job

You will be responsible to manage and continually improve logistics, warehousing and shipping function safely within the Supply Chain Department with the aim of ensuring optimum level of resource utilization to meet production, inventory, and customer service needs within process, facility and cost constraints. Drive logistics and warehouse performance index to exceed internal and external customer's expectations at lowest possible cost with logistics and warehouse related cos


about the manager/team

You will be managing 17 people and 4 department (Planning, Shipping, Customer Service and Warehouse & Logistic) under your wing. You will be reporting to Site Manager and indirect report to Regional Supply Chain Director who is based in Singapore.

duties and responsibility

  • Establish, monitor and control the operational and inventory goals and set up KPIs system that meet the management requirement and align to the business objectives with regard to Planning, Warehousing, Shipping, Import & Export on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the purchasing on service vendors bidding to drive down the cost while improving the service level of the Supply Chain Department
  • Develop best practices and optimize working process/work instructions within supply chain framework. Play a key role in supporting all company projects where needed
  • Lead and work with QA, Customer Service to treat with service complaints where there is, through effective investigation and justification and take action plans.
  • Prepare, monitor and control departmental expense budget, Optimize obsolete stocks and raw materials wastes.

skill/requirement

  • Bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Economics or equivalent
  • Experience managing logistics and warehousing in a manufacturing environment. Inventory control and MRP exposure with SAP will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience with 3 – 5 years relevant experience in supply chain/logistics management in a global company.
