About the client

Our client is a south east asia focused regional bank with offices across key countries across south east asia. Given their aspiration to reach out to the businessess across south east asia, they are looking for senior trade sales manager to strenghten the bank's trade sales business across south east asia region.

The Regional Trade Sales Manager role will focus on driving, structuring and delivering trade solutions
to help client addressing their working capital and balance sheet management targeting reputable middle market custoemrs which are headquartered in Malaysia with cross-border setup across south east asia.

About the role

·Identify potential and targeted customers by working with in-country and cross-border Relationship Manager and Business Head covering the respective business segments in their home country (including Malaysia). Potential customers can be local companies or corporates with established operations within south eas asia or have future plans to expand operations to other countries.
·Provide trade advisory/structuring solutions to customers and be their preferred trade facilities partners within south east asia according to their regional requirements addressing working capital, documentary risk, balance sheet management etc.
·Share and apply up-to-date industry/market knowledge on ‘best-in-class’ trade finance structure including operations and technology/fintech driven techniques that will support the customers as they grow geographically outside of their home-country
·Maintain close relationship with existing and target customers and develop a deep understanding of the customers’ business and banking requirements.
·Collaborate with Relationship Managers/Sector Solution/Trade Sales with respect to sales related activities such as joint sales call, account planning/wallet sizing and sales planning.
·To formulate and articulate regional trade and FSCM solutions to customers.
·Take the lead in responding to all Requests for Information (RFIs) / Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Trade services. In this respect you will coordinate with all key internal stakeholders in formulating responses / designing solutions that are both critical and/or pertinent to the RFIs and RFPs.
·Lead deal origination and collaborate with Relationship Managers/Trade Product Management Product & Sales Managers by providing product advisory, designing of solutions and winning trade FSCM mandates/deals
·Achieve or exceed revenue, operating contribution targets and key performance indicator targets.
·Meet/exceed revenue targets and key performance indicators assigned
·Participate actively in pipeline reviews with the objective of tracking sales activities, provide deals status updates, escalating issues, sharing successes (with objective of replication of success) and lessons learnt.
·To actively participate and support marketing & branding activities such as product forums, client events and Media Publication Awards especially with respect to winning awards.

About the requirements

·More than 10 years of regional transaction banking experience in a sales role focusing on Trade and/or Cash Solutions to middle market and corporate clients with regional operation.
·Conversant in documentary trade and open account trade services and financing, both at the domestic and regional level.
·Good working knowledge of working capital solutions and ability to articulate value propositions from a working capital perspective.
·Excellent command of written and spoken English and/or Mandarin and possession of good presentation skills.
