As a WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and applications. Your expertise will contribute to creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and feature-rich digital solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
... - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, content creators, and project managers to translate project requirements into effective WordPress solutions.
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and functionalities to enhance website performance and user experience.
- Customize and maintain existing WordPress websites, troubleshooting issues and implementing updates as needed.
- Convert provided designs and wireframes into pixel-perfect WordPress websites, ensuring responsive and mobile-friendly layouts.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO), ensuring optimal user experience.
- Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and technologies to enhance website functionality and user engagement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, WordPress developments, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure seamless content integration, user flows, and interactive features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and ensure a stable web environment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to non-technical team members as needed.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and documentation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, showcasing a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and custom post types.
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
- Experience with website optimization techniques to improve speed and performance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Knowledge of other content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
