about the job

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for delivering on the budgeted sales and profit of the Malaysia country operations in the permanent recruitment business line. Leading and managing other sales directors/heads of business lines, you will be responsible for sales budgets, productivity and overall growth and expansion of business lines. In this role, you will also work closely with the MD to maintain and deliver on cost budgets and business partner with the regional functions reporting into the MD such as marketing, hr, L&D and other support functions to deliver on overall performance and local operations.

main accountabilities

  • A culture driver, success in your role will be measured based on performance improvement, overachievement on targets set on sales and productivity and driving expansion of the local operations, through external talent engagement, client growth and internal talent development.
  • You will act as a liaison between the MD and local operations to drive day to day operations and work in tandem with the various stakeholders to achieve the overall strategic growth plans for the Malaysia business

skills and experience required

  • University Degree or equivalent tertiary education and qualification
  • 10 years work experience with a minimum of 5 years of operational sales experience of managing teams/recruitment activities and a sales P&L
  • Excellent, written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven results in recruitment and sales
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience in recruitment of similar industry.
  • Numeracy & IT ability
