About the Role

At Randstad, the legal team plays an important role in guiding the business and protecting the company. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Regional Legal Counsel for Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. The Regional Legal Counsel will work closely with the Regional Legal team and Operations Directors to ensure the business is given accurate and timely legal advice, and does business in compliance with local and global Randstad policies & applicable legislation.

Key accountabilities of the Role

  • Contract Review
    • Timely and efficient review/drafting of commercial contracts and associated documentation
    • Ensuring that risks assumed are in line with accepted Group Legal – Holdings requirements.
    • Following the best practice guidelines outlined in the Randstad policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with contract management and commercial negotiations
  • Assisting with advice on local legal requirements for our Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong operations
  • Providing employment advice in relation to core employees and on-hired contract workers
  • Assisting with handling claims and disputes
  • Assisting with the administration of Company Secretarial matters
  • Carry out such additional duties as may reasonably be required by Randstad from time to time

To be successful in this role, you will bring

  • Law degree or equivalent professional legal qualification
  • 2+ years post qualified lawyer with corporate/commercial law background
  • Experience in a recognised law firm will be seen as an advantage
  • Good knowledge of contract law, and corporate/commercial law.
  • Good working knowledge of employment law and data protection law in at least one of the three jurisdictions would be an advantage
