about the role:

As an agile business analyst you will assist with implementation of new technology and to optimise current processes, workflows and systems for our end-users. You will join a passionate team, and be liaising between IT, Business and other support teams. You will analyse requirements, model processes and document system scenarios while interacting with developers to ensure they translate the requirements into a product. You will recognise that within an agile team you “work where the work is” and will be open to challenging yourself within the agile team. This is a unique role as the ideal candidate will join a proven agile environment, now being embedded across the entire IT organisation.

job scope and responsibilities:

  • Work with assigned Subject Matter Experts in an onshore/offshore model to help shape the best business solutions
  • Liaise with our technical, architecture and developer teams and determine and devise how our systems and products best can meet the business requirements
  • Liaise with other stakeholders to ensure early engagement and alignment post releases
  • Develop a sound knowledge of the projects at hand and the effect of all requested changes
  • Work with any related projects to understand and manage cross-team dependencies
  • Create as-is and to-be process documentation
  • Identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommend business priorities, and advise business on options, risks, and costs
  • Conduct in-depth end-user interviews
  • Analyse impact of proposed solution, and validate and released features continuously
  • Create ROI analysis on any new features, when needed
  • Coordinate and assist with quality management and testing together with the team
  • Assist to drive the communication of the projects/programs successes, outcomes and deliveries via available channels
  • Any other project duties at the discretion of the team, Scrum Master or product owner
  • Collect and report on project metrics

job requirements:

The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties associated with this job.


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and/or Google suite
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in understanding business modeling concepts and requirement documentation
  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Must have excellent writing skills, with strong experience in writing functional and technical specifications and detailed user stories
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in information technology, business or engineering disciplines
  • Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile SDLC
  • Knowledge with Agile (Scrum) SDLC
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, Gliffy, Balsamiq is a plus
  • Previous developer experience is a plus
