Our client is an established public-listed food manufacturing company with over 50 years of experience and workforce in Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. As part of their expansion plans, they are seeking the right talents to be part of their winning team.

about the role

This role is responsible to manage all human resources activities such as recruitment, total rewards, learning & development, performance management, talent management, industrial relations and human resource (HR) services (annual increment, bonus, leave, claims, statutory compliances, deductions, time & attendance) of the company. He/she is expected to establish HR policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to achieve effectiveness and efficiency. The position will be working closely with the plant manager and group HR on policies, projects and initiatives.


  • Responsible for end to end recruitment activities and the retention initiatives of the company.
  • Develop and manage a total rewards framework, manpower budget, payroll, claim and incentive schemes.
  • Manage industrial/employee relation matters.
  • Identify, develop and recommend learning and development programme for the company.
  • Lead and recommend employee engagement activities such as town hall, family day, annual dinner, sports day and etc to continuously strive for a harmonious working environment amongst the employees.

skills & experience

  • Ideally, a minimum of 8 years experience in general HR.
  • Able to communicate with all level employees to ensure messages are clearly articulated particularly with local Chinese speaking suppliers and workers.
  • Comfortable with 5.5-6 days a week working environment and visit the production plant whenever necessary.
