about the job

The Talent Acquisition advisor works closely with the country director/head of operations and wider malaysia management team to provide recruitment/talent acquisition advice and execution, working in partnership with the business in providing an outstanding internal talent acquisition service that is customer focused and drives improved organisational performance.

about the manager

This position reports to the head of operations Malaysia with a dotted line to the HRD SEA.

To provide advice around talent attraction strategies to ensure that we have the right people in place to achieve our goals. Building Talent Communities to ensure better quality and efficiency in our hiring. Executing and ensuring recruitment undertaken is in line with our internal processes. Promoting our Employee Value Proposition “Human Forward’ internally and externally to fit with the talent management plan.

The Key Accountabilities include:

recruitment that supports a high performance organisation

  • Find and attract talent for Randstad aligned to our competency profiles in order to develop ready talent communities and reduced time to fill.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates through a regular contact cycle, including past, current and future talents and alumni.
  • Actively uphold and drive Randstad best practice quality recruitment process
  • Control candidates through the process to ensure talent acquisition is best in class.
  • Comply with local legislative requirements at all times.
  • Consistently develop and improve Randstad Employer Brand in Malaysia partnering with marketing and the HRD to ensure we are on brand in all mediums including print, website and social media.
  • Assist with recruitment projects as needed; including attraction of graduates and greenfield talent.
  • Assist MD’s and Functional heads with corporate support hiring within the Opcos.
  • Manage and Maintain Rec to Rec relationships where necessary.
  • Consistently look to review, audit and analyse recruitment data to ensure we maintain best in class recruitment approach and results for internal hiring.

  • Ensure the efficient and professional management of the offer process.
  • Work closely with the HRSS team and HRBP to ensure all appropriate offer documentation is completed and returned in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a smooth first day/ week experience, working closely with wider HR/LD team to provide new starters with a positive first experience.

business partnering

  • Building relationships with the various stakeholders across the business
  • Providing sound advice around recruitment and sourcing, challenging the status quo where needed
  • Coaching on recruitment process and interviewing techniques
  • Speaking regularly with key stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Understand the impact of Talent Acquisition initiatives and process on the business
  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Lead and/or participate in HR or cross functional projects, and be comfortable in contributing to the direction of the broader HR department.
  • To build and maintain professional links with colleagues and senior managers within the business.
  • To drive excellence and to increase the perceived value of HR to all stakeholders.

skills & experience required

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in any field. A degree in human resources would be an advantage. They will have 2+ years previous experience working in a fast paced recruitment environment. They will also be comfortable influencing at a senior level and advising on Talent Acquisition, including talent pipelining, sourcing strategies and recruitment process.

To be successful the individual will have a strong commitment to customer service and business partnering. Along with strong organisational skills and a process mindset.

The ideal candidate should feel comfortable to effectively work and communicate with multiple stakeholders of varied backgrounds, nationalities and cultures. Personal authenticity is a must.
