As an Architectural Designer within our development division, you will drive the design direction, authority compliance, and technical feasibility for large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use components within flagship developments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate architectural concepts, preliminary layouts, and site massing strategies for high-density, multi-phase developments.
- Evaluate local land-use guidelines, plot ratios, and technical requirements (e.g., MBJB/local council submissions) to optimize site yield.
- Produce conceptual presentations, 3D visualizations, and detailed design packages for executive leadership and municipal submissions.
- Manage and coordinate with external architectural consultants, structural engineers, and technical teams to ensure design intent aligns with constructability and cost targets.
- Perform regular site visits and cross-department coordination with project management and commercial teams to resolve design conflicts during execution.
Skills & Qualifications Needed
- Education: Bachelor’s in Architecture in an equivalent recognized architectural degree from a reputable university.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in architectural design or design management, preferably with experience handling high-rise residential or large-scale mixed-use developments.
- Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD
- Sound knowledge of local planning guidelines, Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), zoning regulations, and submission processes in Malaysia.
- Soft Skills & Language:
- Strong technical coordination skills with the ability to bridge internal commercial goals and external consultant deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage to facilitate project stakeholder coordination).
