about the job
- Strategic Leadership & P&L: Leads the property development business unit with full accountability for financial performance, profitability and sustainable growth.
- Business Growth: Defines and executes the long-term strategic vision to expand the portfolio while aligning with the broader group's capabilities.
- Property Development & Pipeline Management: Spearheads the end-to-end development pipeline from initial land acquisition and feasibility studies through to master planning and design conceptualization.
- Project Management & Delivery: Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards by cultivating high-level relationships with contractors, joint-venture partners, and government authorities.
- Sales Engine Leadership: Directly drives the strategic direction of property sales, setting aggressive revenue targets, managing sales teams, and driving rapid market velocity.
- Marketing Strategy & Positioning: Oversees high-impact marketing campaigns, innovative product positioning, and pricing strategies to maximize brand equity and property absorption rates.
- Network & Deal-Making: Utilizes a strong network to engage institutional buyers, high-net-worth individuals, and top-tier real estate agencies to accelerate sales volume.
- Financial Engineering: Manages capital budgeting, asset valuation, and project financing to optimize return on investment.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of senior-level leadership experience, including 8–10 years explicitly serving in a C-suite role within a large-scale property developer.
- Extensive experience operating across the property development, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multi-billion ringgit operations and navigate a highly diverse business portfolio.
- Deep operational understanding of corporate governance frameworks, comprehensive risk management, and the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to align diverse viewpoints.
- Direct experience working alongside Boards of Directors, institutional investors, and key stakeholders within a listed or highly diversified corporate group environment.
