- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance (PPM) on critical data center equipment (UPS, Gensets, Switchgear).
- Conduct daily site walks and inspections to ensure statutory safety compliance and operational efficiency.
- Act as the first line of defense to diagnose and respond to critical alarms and electrical emergencies to eliminate downtime risks.
- Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors during specialized maintenance and high-risk repairs.
- Execute and enforce high-risk maintenance tasks in strict adherence to data center safety frameworks (LOTO/PTW) and quality standards.
- Lead the troubleshooting of complex electrical and technical issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of maintenance logs, equipment histories, and legal Chargeman inspection logbooks.
skills and experience required
- Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia) - A0, A1, A4, B0 and B4.
- Certificate or Diploma in a mechanical, electrical, or operational engineering discipline.
- Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting knowledge across critical systems (UPS, gensets, chillers, BMS/EMS, and PLC systems).
- Proven experience in the operations and maintenance of electrical and mechanical services within a data center or critical facility environment.
- Willing to work rotating shifts.
