As the Finance Manager, you will serve as a critical pillar within the group's financial management team. This is not just a standard reporting role; you will also act as a key member of the Process Reengineering Team. You will be entrusted with overseeing financial accounting, ensuring robust internal controls, leading Bursa Malaysia reporting, and providing valuable financial insights to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Statutory Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly management reports and periodic financial statutory reports, taking full ownership of the quarterly Bursa Malaysia reporting process.
- Executive Advisory: Prepare comprehensive Board papers and executive presentation materials, delivering in-depth financial analysis and strategic commentary.
- Tax & Budgetary Control: Drive corporate budget controls and strategic tax planning. Manage full corporate tax compliance, including tax estimations, annual submissions, and acting as the primary liaison with external tax agents.
- Audit & Compliance: Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring absolute adherence to statutory compliance and IFRS/MFRS reporting standards.
- Risk & Process Optimization: Champion financial risk management, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous productivity enhancements across the finance function.
- Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to foster a culture of high performance, accuracy, and operational excellence.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g., ACCA, MIA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA) is strictly required.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven, progressive experience in financial management roles.
- Hands-on, proven experience in preparing Bursa Malaysia quarterly and annual financial reporting for a listed company is a strict prerequisite for this role.
- Core Accounting Skills: Deep knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS), corporate tax compliance, statutory obligations, and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- FP&A Expertise: Demonstrated capability in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Systems Proficiency: Strong command of accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel. Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical values, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. You must possess the leadership gravitas to motivate a team and manage stakeholder expectations.
