About the Role
We are partnering with a prominent property developer in Johor Bahru, to recruit an experienced and hands-on Finance Leader. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of group financial reporting, SGX announcements, treasury management, and internal controls. This is a strategic yet operational role suited for a strong technical accountant with prior exposure to listed company requirements in Singapore or Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
... - Financial Reporting & Governance: Lead the end-to-end preparation of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual consolidated financial statements, incorporating ESG and corporate governance reporting.
- Listing Compliance: Draft and release timely market announcements via SGXNet, ensuring full compliance with stock exchange regulations.
- FP&A & Treasury: Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, and prepare robust quarterly budgets and financial forecasts for executive management meetings.
- Internal Controls & Systems: Enhance internal control frameworks in collaboration with internal auditors, and lead accounting system migration initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, SGX sponsors, legal advisors, bankers, and regulatory bodies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support the finance team on day-to-day accounting operations and manage special ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Education & Professional Qualification: Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience, with proven track record in SGX or Bursa Malaysia listing compliance and group consolidation.
- Industry Focus: Prior experience in the real estate, property development, or construction sector is highly advantageous.
- Key Skills: Strong technical accounting proficiency, excellent analytical problem-solving, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attributes: Self-driven, hands-on, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a deadline-sensitive environment.
- Work Location: Based full-time in Johor Bahru, with flexibility for travel as required by management.
