Job Description
- Global Classification Governance & Operations: Establish and enforce unified global standards, policies, and master data controls for chemical and non-chemical product classifications. Monitor changes in international tariff schedules and customs laws to adjust global compliance protocols rapidly.
- Service Delivery & Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the ultimate global escalation authority for complex trade classification matters. Partner closely with Global Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, and regional leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality execution.
- Compliance & Audit Readiness: Design and manage internal control frameworks, SOPs, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure full audit readiness across all jurisdictions. Represent corporate interests in regulatory and governance discussions.
- Digitalization & System Enhancement: Spearhead process automation and system optimization within SAP/SAP GTS, leveraging data analytics to drive continuous improvement and harmonization.
- Global Team Leadership: Direct, coach, and manage a multi-regional team. Oversee resource allocation, key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, and talent development to maintain a high-accountability culture.
- Performance Analytics & Governance: Track global performance through centralized dashboards and metrics, ensuring operational efficiency and reporting transparency across regions.
It'll Be Good If You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Experience: 8–10+ years in Customs, Classification, and Foreign Trade, with strong Supply Chain alignment.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of customs classification (chemical & non-chemical) and global trade regulations.
- Languages: German language (B2 and above)
