about the job
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the overall supply chain planning strategy in line with business growth objectives across the FMCG network.
- Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct-report Managers and Executives, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Lead the integrated S&OP process, facilitating alignment between Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to balance supply and demand.
- Demand & Supply Planning: Oversee forecasting models, production planning, and material requirements planning (MRP) to maximize product availability while optimizing working capital.
- Inventory Management: Establish inventory policies, reduce obsolete/slow-moving stock (SLOBs), and optimize safety stock levels across fulfillment centers.
- Process Excellence & Systems: Drive digital transformation and process optimization within planning systems (e.g., SAP, APO, Kinaxis, or equivalent ERP tools).
- Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key metrics including forecast accuracy, OTIF (On-Time, In-Full), inventory turnover, and service level achievement.
skills and requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within the FMCG industry, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- People Leadership: Proven track record of managing mid-level managers and operational executives.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory control, and S&OP/IBP frameworks.
- Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced planning tools.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, strategic agility, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree or APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
