As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will lead local category purchasing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership and build resilient, sustainable supplier relationships.
- Formulate and execute local indirect procurement strategies aligned with broader business targets.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess category demands, refine specifications, and drive cost efficiencies.
- Spearhead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market tendering, contract negotiations, and commercial terms.
- Oversee supplier performance, evaluate delivery metrics, and mitigate supply chain risk across local vendors.
- Enforce corporate purchasing policies, tracking realized savings alongside financial stakeholders.
skills and experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of indirect procurement experience, with a background in retail or fast-moving consumer goods.
- Proven ability in Total Cost of Ownership analysis, supplier negotiations, and category sourcing.
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning and digital e-sourcing tools.
- Strong professional communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
