about the job
the Manager, Shariah & Islamic Resolution is a newly created expansion role designed to strengthen the organization's strategic resolution capabilities. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Shariah-compliant resolution, intervention, and protection frameworks for Islamic financial institutions

Policy & Framework Development: Draft, review, and enhance Shariah-compliant operational frameworks, governance standards, and policy guidelines.
Resolution Planning & Recovery (RRP): Perform resolvability assessments and analyze structural and operational impediments for Islamic financial institutions to ensure readiness during financial distress.
Shariah Advisory & Research: Conduct deep technical research on Islamic financial contracts, publish research papers and proposals, and execute pre-implementation Shariah control activities.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement: Liaise with regulators, industry bodies, and Shariah advisory boards, representing the organization at local and international platforms (e.g., Muzakarah conferences).

reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer of Islamic Shariah, the successful candidate will join an established, collaborative team alongside two existing Managers—one specializing in Islamic Finance and Shariah committee functions, and another bringing strong commercial banking experience. The team operates in a project-based, hands-on environment covering technical research, policy formulation, and bank resolution frameworks. To support both local government engagements and international platform communications, the department is seeking an agile professional whose technical depth and language capabilities will complement the current team's strength
