about the job
As a Production Planner, you will manage shop-floor manufacturing schedules, component lead times, and capacity requirements to support production targets.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules aligned with operational capacity and customer delivery timelines.
- Evaluate machine loading, cycle times, and workforce availability to minimize production bottlenecks.
- Maintain tight control over work-in-progress inventory levels from raw material release through final quality inspection.
- Partner with cross-functional units including engineering, purchasing, and quality assurance to resolve schedule disruptions.
- Utilize enterprise planning tools and quality management systems to monitor adherence to operational targets.
skills and experience required.
- Minimum five to eight years of experience in production planning, production control, or manufacturing operations.
- Applied background within precision engineering, CNC machining, or metal component fabrication environments.
- Practical understanding of cycle time calculation, machine capacity planning, and work-in-progress control.
- Functional capability operating enterprise resource planning systems alongside quality management framework standards.
- Tertiary qualification in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
