In this role, you will lead end-to-end commercial management and procurement activities for major industrial projects.
- Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and valuation assessments for civil, structural, and architectural scopes.
- Analyze tender specifications, drawings, and contract documentation to identify scope gaps and manage cost risks.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate sub-contractor proposals to secure competitive pricing and establish robust procurement strategies.
- Prepare, process, and track progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to ensure optimal project cost control.
- Collaborate closely with project management, site engineers, and external vendors to maintain budget alignment throughout project execution.
skills and experience required.
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Commercial management experience within the industrial construction sector, ideally with a main contractor.
- Solid technical understanding of civil, structural, and architectural building systems and standard contract terms.
- Proficiency in estimation and design software, including AutoCAD and specialized quantity surveying software.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to manage diverse vendor relationships and site stakeholders.
