About the Job
This is a high-visibility, full-time regional lead desk based out of a sophisticated hybrid hub in Malaysia. Moving completely away from backward-looking regulatory compliance loops, this role focuses on the forward-looking commercial steering of our high-growth SME and regional corporate lines portfolio.
Key Responsibilities include:
Acting as the primary regional subject matter expert, delivering deep technical input into underwriting decisions, portfolio health checks, and macro model enhancements.
Elevating and maintaining robust pricing frameworks and rating assumptions aligned with international group standards.
Collaborating cross-functionally with senior Product Leads to maximize technical pricing platform usage and commercial efficiency.
Guiding complex case-pricing assessments and exception analytics for large corporate facilities.
Collating critical data matrices to track rate adequacy, regional performance metrics, and reporting insights.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience within a general insurance (non-life) actuarial or technical pricing function. Direct exposure to multinational corporate frameworks is highly desirable.
Qualifications: Steady, demonstrated progress toward professional actuarial qualifications with the US, UK, or Australian Actuarial Institutes.
Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in Excel is mandatory; hands-on programming exposure in analytical tools like Python or SAS is considered a major advantage.
Core Competencies: Outstanding communication, consultative, and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with diverse underwriting and commercial stakeholders.
