As the Procurement Manager (Solar / Industrial EPCC), you will take full strategic ownership of project-based procurement and supply chain execution. You will oversee end-to-end sourcing. Your role is critical in driving cost optimization, contract negotiation, vendor management, and ensuring on-time site deliveries through final commissioning.
key responsibilities
- Strategic Category Sourcing: Lead procurement strategies across both solar PV packages (modules, inverters, mounting structures) or industrial CAPEX packages (mechanical equipment, piping, substations, and electrical systems).
- Subcontract & Commercial Management: Oversee the end-to-end tendering, evaluation, and awarding of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical subcontracts. Draft, negotiate, and enforce complex EPCC commercial contracts (e.g., FIDIC/NEC), managing warranties, performance bonds, variation orders, and liquidated damages.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Relations: Build and maintain strong global and local vendor networks across Tier-1 solar OEMs, heavy machinery manufacturers, and specialized subcontractors.
- Expediting & Logistics: Lead international vendor expediting, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) schedules, custom clearances, and site logistics to prevent site downtime and project critical path delays.
- Budget & Risk Control: Partner with project directors and engineering teams to monitor raw material/commodity market fluctuations (copper, steel, polysilicon), execute value-engineering, and manage project margins.
about the manager/team
- Education: Minimum a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred), Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven managerial experience in purchasing or procurement, specifically within the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent negotiation abilities, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or Supply Chain Management.
- 7–12 years of direct procurement and subcontracts management experience in an EPCC environment, with proven exposure to Solar/Renewables or Heavy Industrial Infrastructure.
- Solid background in high-value international sourcing, incoterms, import/export regulations, and multi-currency contract administration.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and team leadership capability.
