Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Entity Management: Manage daily accounting documents, receipts, and payment transactions for the Malaysia entity.
Ledger Oversight: Monitor general ledger activities to ensure absolute accuracy and completeness of all records.
Financial Closing: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes in strict compliance with local GAAPs and group requirements.
Analysis & Commentary: Provide detailed variance analysis, monthly financial reviews, and insightful business commentaries to management.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring swift resolution of any findings.
2. Operational Finance & Capital Management
Transaction Management: Verify and approve daily operational transactions, including fund transfers, supplier payments, and expense claims.
Cash Flow: Oversee regional working capital and continuously monitor cash flow forecasts.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Tax Compliance
Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles for the assigned regions, tracking actual performance against targets.
Tax Management: Ensure full compliance with corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect taxes (SST/GST/VAT) across the regional scope.
Transfer Pricing & Group Reporting: Review comprehensive transfer pricing documentation and prepare specialized tax reporting packages for the group.
4. Governance & Ad-hoc Projects
Internal Control: Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks to ensure data integrity and alignment with group policies.
Management Support: Execute ad-hoc financial projects and strategic tasks as requested.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
Professional Certification: CA, ACCA, or CPA qualification is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
Strong command of IFRS and local GAAPs across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing remote teams and working with cross-cultural stakeholders.
