key responsibilities:

• Pipeline & Model Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models using SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Large-Scale Data Management: Process, transform, and optimize massive datasets efficiently within a Databricks environment.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement testing and validation frameworks within dbt to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all reporting layers.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in existing data workflows and rewrite complex queries to improve compute efficiency and reduce costs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into well-defined data models.

requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a heavily technical Data Analyst role.
• SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries.
• Modern Data Stack: Deep, hands-on experience using dbt for data modeling, testing, and deployment.
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Platform Expertise: Proven experience working with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) to handle large-scale data processing.

nice to haves:

• Previous experience working across regional markets or dealing with multi-regional datasets.
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage projects independently and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
