Position Overview
- Role: Data Analytics & Platform Manager
- Location: KL, Malaysia
- Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours)
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Remuneration: Open to discussion based on experience (Up to RM 15,000 – RM 17,000/month) + Competitive Bonus & Benefits
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics & Platform Manager to take ownership of the Group’s data ecosystem. This is a newly created leadership role within the Group HQ IT division.
You will lead, mentor, and build a growing data team (encompassing BI Developers, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts). You will serve as both a technical authority and strategic advisor—shaping how the group structures, governs, and utilizes data to drive enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Architecture: Define and execute the roadmap to transform unstructured data practices into a modernized, scalable enterprise data platform.
- Team Leadership & Hiring: Manage the existing data professionals and actively lead the headcount expansion for incoming technical hires.
- Platform Management: Oversee and optimize cloud data platforms (leveraging tools like Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse).
- Data Governance & Engineering: Establish best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and architecture across multiple business entities.
- Stakeholder Management: Articulate complex data strategies, roadmaps, and project execution plans clearly to senior IT leadership and executive management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Strong background in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or BI, with demonstrated experience leading or managing technical teams.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on familiarity with modern cloud data tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or Databricks).
- Strong fundamentals in SQL, data architecture, data warehousing, and pipeline management.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and presentation skills—must be able to articulate plans, methodologies, and business impacts clearly.
- Availability: Candidates with 1 to 2 months' notice period are strongly preferred.
