- Direct, mentor, and coach technical staff across all levels. Oversee team recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, performance evaluations, and strategic cross-training to build a versatile, high-performing team and support long-term career growth.
- Oversee daily facility operations, establish work schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure project deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently.
- Serve as a key point of contact to build, nurture, and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, vendor partners, site leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Take full ownership of profit and loss (P&L) management, operational budget planning, expense tracking, and financial forecasting for the operations division.
- Formulate long-term departmental goals, refine operational workflows, and strictly enforce compliance with standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve both routine and complex facility engineering and system performance issues to prevent downtime and optimize asset lifespans.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred, minimum 5 years of relevant operational and facilities management experience (or an equivalent, well-demonstrated combination of education and hands-on technical leadership)
- A solid track record in end-to-end talent management, including hiring, coaching, objective performance appraisal, team motivation, and retention strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities to guide the exchange of sensitive, complex, or technical information, clearly communicate performance expectations, handle conflict resolution, and achieve consensus across departments.
- Sharp analytical and mathematical skills, with proven confidence in working with financial metrics, fractions, percentages, and operational cost calculations.
- Advanced, proficient command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) for reporting, scheduling, and data analysis.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong inquisitive mindset, sharp critical-thinking abilities, and a commitment to continuous operational improvement.
- Experience in manufacturing facilities is an added advantage.
