As a Buyer, you will manage material procurement and inventory controls to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Execute material purchases in accordance with operational requirements and purchasing procedures.
- Expedite material deliveries to fulfill production schedules, customer demands, and new product introductions.
- Collaborate with supply partners to optimize inventory levels, shipping modes, and delivery lead times.
- Resolve material discrepancies and manage non-conforming lots through established quality channels.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure alignment with production targets and inventory goals.
skills and experience required.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in purchasing, material planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical understanding of material procurement, supply chain logistics, and material requirements planning.
- Functional proficiency operating enterprise resource planning systems and standard business software applications.
- Working knowledge of quality management system standards such as ISO 9001.
- Diploma or degree qualification in supply chain management, inventory management, or a matching discipline.
