Job Summary
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust maintenance strategies to ensure the client's equipment, machinery, and facilities operate at peak efficiency and reliability. Your core focus will be on minimizing downtime, improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and ensuring strict safety compliance through your technical expertise, predictive planning, and the adoption of modern engineering technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and continuously optimize preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) programs.
System Optimization: Analyze equipment performance data to identify bottlenecks and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
Innovation & Redesign: Evaluate and redesign existing machinery or production processes to optimize efficiency and productivity by integrating new, cutting-edge technologies.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues; oversee critical repair work and planned factory shutdowns.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all machinery and facility operations comply with local safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Resource Management: Manage maintenance budgets, optimize spare parts inventory, and ensure cost-effective tool control.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise the client's internal team of maintenance technicians and external contractors.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance logs, equipment histories, asset performance, and compliance reports.
Project Support: Assist in the seamless installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and production lines.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to use data-driven approaches (e.g., Root Cause Analysis) to solve chronic equipment issues.
Leadership & Collaboration: Proven track record of managing technical teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
Project Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle shutdowns and equipment upgrades without disrupting production timelines.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical data to management.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or in a similar manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial systems, machinery, and modern preventive/predictive maintenance techniques.
Automation: Hands-on experience with PLC systems, automation, or industrial control systems is highly preferred.
Regulatory Alignment: Solid understanding of industrial safety regulations and occupational health standards.
