Randstad is exclusively partnering with a forward-thinking big 10 professional services firm to look for a visionary leader for the Quality Assurance and Technical (QAT) department. Our client is embracing the future of the profession by integrating emerging technologies into their core practices.
The Role
This is a pioneering role designed to bridge the gap between traditional auditing, accounting, technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will be at the forefront of the firm's transformation, identifying and deploying AI-driven solutions that drastically enhance audit quality, productivity, technical research, and knowledge management. You will collaborate closely with partners, software vendors, and audit teams to promote the practical adoption of these emerging tools.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Transformation: Lead the firm's AI initiatives within the Audit & Assurance practice by evaluating emerging technologies, developing internal AI tools (like prompts and knowledge repositories), and conducting proof-of-concept testing.
- Workflow Automation: Actively identify strategic opportunities to automate audit procedures, documentation, and overall workflow processes.
- Methodology & Advisory: Maintain and update the firm's audit methodology, support the implementation of new standards, and conduct deep-dive technical research on accounting and assurance matters.
- Knowledge & Governance: Develop AI-assisted knowledge databases and training materials, while simultaneously developing AI governance policies to mitigate risks related to data privacy and confidentiality.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Accounting & Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years (Manager) or 8 to 12 years (Senior Manager) of relevant experience, with a strict minimum of 3 years in external audit.
- Technical Audit Skills: Strong, proven working knowledge of ISA, ISQM 1 & 2, MFRS/IFRS, the Companies Act 2016, and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
- Tech & AI Proficiency: While you do not need to be a programmer, you must demonstrate practical use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini), AI prompting techniques, and Advanced Excel.
- Attributes: An innovative, self-driven professional who continuously explores emerging technologies, challenges traditional approaches, and can confidently influence and train audit teams.
