Serving diverse high-tech industries worldwide, our client’s state-of-the-art facility in Penang is expanding its operations and seeking a driven PIE Manager to lead manufacturing excellence and operational engineering.
As the Process & Industrial Engineering (PIE) Manager, you will lead the PIE team in driving operational efficiency, process optimization, automation, and Lean initiatives. You will serve as a strategic operational leader, managing CAPEX investments, balancing production lines, and optimizing manufacturing throughput.

- Lean & Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and overall operational efficiency while reducing cost.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Analyze workflow bottlenecks, conduct time/motion studies, and lead the deployment of automation, new process equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, coach, and manage a team of Engineers and Technicians, driving high departmental KPI performance and fostering continuous professional development.
- CAPEX & Capacity Planning: Plan and manage departmental CAPEX budgets to align equipment and capability expansion with future business growth.
- Standards & Problem Solving: Establish standardized SOPs, work measurements, and line-balancing protocols. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action plans for technical, quality, and maintenance challenges.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance teams while presenting performance metrics and strategic engineering initiatives to top management.

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Proven leadership track record managing engineering teams within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
- Technical Mastery: In-depth expertise in Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, capacity planning, line balancing, process automation, and CAPEX management.
- Skills: Exceptionally strong analytical, root-cause problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
