In this pivotal role, you will lead regional air freight procurement, supplier management, and trade lane solution design. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert bridging external aviation partners (airlines, GSAs/CSAs, charter operators, ground handlers, customs brokers) and internal business development teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Carrier Strategy: Lead vendor selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management across airlines, GSAs/CSAs, charter companies, trucking partners, and ground handling agents.
- Commercial & Rate Negotiation: Secure competitive freight rates, block space agreements (BSAs), favorable payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to maximize gross margins.
- Solution Engineering & Pricing: Design customized air freight products, trade lane routes, and pricing models based on cargo profiles, capacity availability, transit requirements, and yield targets.
- Sales & RFQ Support: Partner with regional business development teams on complex tenders, market rate benchmarking, spot pricing, and new project implementations.
- Operational Oversight & Compliance: Monitor end-to-end air freight execution—from booking, tracking, and customs clearance to exception management—ensuring full compliance with civil aviation, legal, and trade standards.
- Market Intelligence & Analytics: Track air cargo market trends, airline capacity shifts, trade lane profitability, and carrier service performance to formulate proactive contingency plans.
- Standards & Enablement: Develop operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver market coaching and air product training to internal sales and operations units.

- Background: 3+ years of progressive experience within international air freight forwarding, airline cargo sales/operations, air charter management, or aviation product development -
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of global air cargo networks, trade lane dynamics, airline space allocation, and established contacts across airlines, GSAs, and ground handlers.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven expertise in air procurement, supplier negotiation, cost-benefit analysis, and spot/contract pricing models.
- Operational Agility: Strong problem-solving and execution capabilities to navigate supply chain disruptions, peak season constraints, and complex cross-border logistics.
- Communication & Drive: Proactive, results-driven professional with excellent stakeholder management, adaptability, and cross-functional coordination skills.
