about the job

Our client is seeking an SAP Development Expert based in Malaysia to design, develop and maintain ABAP programs within ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. This role is integral to the strategy for S/4HANA and serves as a technical expert within the design authority process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Developing and maintaining custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Designing and implementing Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and OData services.
• Optimizing ABAP code for performance in an S/4HANA environment and leveraging DevOps, Agile, and Waterfall practices for application delivery.
• Providing Level 2 and Level 3 user support, managing incident fixes, and performing technical troubleshooting for SAP applications.
• Assigning and following up on development requests for third-party developers, performing source code audits, and participating in code reviews.

the requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in development.
• SAP certifications in ABAP or Fiori/UI5 are a plus.
