About the Role
We are looking for a high-performing Software Engineer with deep expertise in Python to join our fast-growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software applications, optimize existing backend systems, and collaborate across teams to ship impact-driven technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Architect, build, and maintain robust end-to-end Python applications and APIs.
- Code Quality & Maintenance: Write clean, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- System Optimization: Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query speeds and service performance.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver features from concept to production deployment.
- Technical Rigor: Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher (or equivalent academic distinction).
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on professional software development experience primarily using Python.
- Application Architecture: Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade backend systems or web applications (e.g., using Django, FastAPI, or Flask).
- Databases: Strong proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy).
- API Development: Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
- Version Control & DevOps: Proficiency with Git, continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio, Celery, Redis).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and automated testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
