To support their continuous expansion in Malaysia, they are seeking a highly analytical and driven Cable Harness Manufacturing (CHM) Engineer to champion their assembly processes, streamline production throughput, and oversee new product launches on the shop floor.

Production Support & Quality Assurance: Support day-to-day manufacturing activities related to physical cable harness assembly and interconnect fabrication. Monitor process metrics and ensure rigid adherence to world-class quality and safety standards.
Troubleshooting & RCA: Actively investigate and troubleshoot live manufacturing issues, defects, and bottlenecks. Implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize downtime.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Drive line balancing, cycle time studies, and waste reduction initiatives to optimize floor productivity and increase output.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Partner with global engineering teams to execute NPI trials, validate processes, and perform equipment run-offs for new cable harness setups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Design Engineering to continuously refine manufacturing layouts and build robust process efficiencies.
Documentation & Compliance: Establish and maintain crucial manufacturing document controls, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FMEA, Control Plans, and clear Work Instructions (WIs).

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, assembly, PCBA, cable harness production, or complex logistics operations.
Solid background in root cause analysis (RCA), 8D methodology, and structured troubleshooting
Familiarity with engineering documentation (such as PFMEA, control plans, and standard process flows)
Direct experience with wire routing, crimping standards, box build integration, or electrical testing is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or overall Equipment/Line Balancing optimization is highly preferred.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills; a self-starter capable of navigating a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment independently.
