KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Test, diagnose, rework, and verify PSU sub-components and final electronic products of moderate to high complexity as prescribed by drawings, electrical schematics, and/or procedures.
Demonstrate a strong ability to test and diagnose units with minimal direction.
Record failure data and test issues in databases as required; work with Test Engineers to document product repair changes, evaluate results, and recommend corrective actions.
Recommend design, update, and efficiency improvements to test setups, and support the assembly/setup of test stations.
Prepare detailed reports and test procedures documenting the results, methods, and equipment used in product evaluation.
Maintain strong communication skills with peers, across shifts, and with support organizations.
Engage actively in process improvement teams and activities.
Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
Handle other duties that may be assigned as required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education: Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar electronics company.
Technical Skills: Strong electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair experience, specifically with power supplies and related products.
Schematics & Tools: Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment.
Physical & Mechanical: Ability to make common mechanical connections associated with power supply testing and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Languages: Good communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Software: Knowledgeable in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SAP systems.
Autonomy: Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
