In this role, you will be the backbone of our electronic assembly production line. You will blend your hands-on wave soldering expertise with technical diagnostics to support daily operations, drive yield improvements, and maintain high visual quality standards.
Equipment Optimization: Set up, monitor, and optimize wave soldering equipment (e.g., ERSA, Electrovert) by adjusting conveyor speeds, preheat temperatures, flux quantity, and solder pot settings.
Process & Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, solder profiles, and precise process parameters.
Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve process issues such as solder bridges, cold solder joints, poor wetting, or component damage using IPC-A-610 standards.
Technical Diagnosis: Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose, test, and repair high-value electronic assemblies.
Continuous Improvement: Assist engineers with data collection, yield/defect analysis, process validation for new products, and line troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain ESD-safe working conditions and handle sensitive electronic components appropriately.
What We Are Looking For
Tertiary education in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a Test or Process Technician within a similar electronics manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, and component repair
Strong ability to work directly from electrical schematics and change notices using standard electronic diagnostic equipment
Hands-on experience making common mechanical connections required for hardware testing.
Knowledgeable in standard Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SAP systems is a major plus.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
