Our client is a growing HR technology / SaaS company providing HRIS, payroll and workforce management solutions to businesses across Malaysia. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead new customer acquisition and grow their presence in the Malaysian market.
The Role
- Drive new business development for HRIS, payroll and HR SaaS solutions across the Malaysian market.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through needs analysis, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation and closing.
- Identify and engage senior decision-makers across HR, Payroll, Finance and Business functions.
- Develop strong relationships with prospects and understand their HR and workforce management challenges.
- Work closely with Product, Pre-Sales and Implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales through customer onboarding.
- Focus on acquiring customers within the manufacturing and retail/F&B sectors, particularly businesses with large employee/workforce populations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of direct B2B sales experience in HRIS, Payroll, HR SaaS, ERP or related business software solutions.
- Proven track record in new business development, hunting and closing.
- Strong understanding of the Malaysian B2B market and HR/payroll buyer landscape.
- Comfortable selling to multiple stakeholders and engaging HR, Payroll, Finance and senior management.
- Strong presentation, negotiation and consultative selling skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin would be an advantage.
- Highly driven, target-oriented and able to work independently in a hunter-focused sales environment.
