Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber, dynamic, and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. As a listed entity on Bursa Malaysia, our group is embarking on its next phase of strategic growth and operational transformation across multiple manufacturing entities and business units.
The CFO will serve as a strategic co-pilot to the Group CEO, balancing robust financial stewardship and corporate governance with proactive commercial leadership. You will drive group-wide financial performance, optimize capital allocation, modernize financial systems, and spearhead corporate transformation initiatives across our operating divisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Transformation & Value Creation
Partner with the Group CEO and Board to shape and execute long-term strategic plans, business transformations, and portfolio optimizations.
Drive performance improvement across diverse business units by identifying operational efficiencies, restructuring underperforming assets, and expanding margins.
Champion digital transformation within the finance function, driving automated reporting, predictive forecasting, and modern enterprise ERP integrations.
2. Financial Management & Operations
Oversee the overall financial management, capital structure, treasury, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and tax planning of the Group and its subsidiaries.
Optimize working capital management across manufacturing plants, inventory holdings, supply chain channels, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) programs.
Establish rigorous financial frameworks to monitor profitability, unit economics, and cost structures across multiple product lines and locations.
3. Bursa Malaysia Compliance & Governance
Ensure strict compliance with Bursa Malaysia Main/ACE Market Listing Requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, MFRS accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
Lead corporate governance, internal controls, risk management frameworks, and ESG/Sustainability financial reporting protocols.
Direct the quarterly earnings announcements, annual reports, circulars, and annual general meeting (AGM) financial presentation materials.
4. Corporate Finance, M&A & Capital Allocation
Evaluate and execute corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, divestments, and corporate fundraising (debt/equity).
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury operations to secure cost-effective capital structures.
Direct dividend strategies, share buybacks, and shareholder value realization plans.
5. Investor Relations & Leadership
Act as a key spokesperson to the investment community, sell-side analysts, institutional investors, and credit rating agencies.
Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance team across HQ and manufacturing plant locations, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant (MIA, ACCA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, or equivalent). A Master’s Degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 12–15+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a CFO or VP Finance role within a public listed company (PLC) environment.
Industry Exposure: Hands-on experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, consumer goods, or multi-site production/logistics environments is highly essential.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving strategic business transformation, M&A, post-merger integration, or turnaround strategies.
Regulatory Expertise: Deep familiarity with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and local tax legislation.
Leadership & Influence: Outstanding commercial acumen, strong strategic negotiation skills, and the presence to influence Board members and external market stakeholders.
