They are currently seeking a highly capable Manager to join their dynamic Financial Risk Management (FRM) team. about the role
As an FRM Manager, you will lead a diverse range of projects, providing tailored risk management solutions to businesses across various industries. You will leverage deep industry knowledge and advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights, focusing on areas such as Financial Modelling, Basel compliance, ICAAP, Finance and Treasury management, Hedge Accounting, and the Valuation of Financial Instruments.
This is a leadership role where you will not only solve complex business issues from strategy to execution but also drive business development and mentor a high-performing team of associates and seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex financial risk management projects. Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively while ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Advisory & Client Management: Provide strategic advisory services utilizing advanced analytics and tools. Develop and maintain strong, trusted-advisor relationships with external clients. Stay abreast of innovative client insights and advise on the implications of changing regulatory frameworks.
- Technical Risk Management: Follow stringent risk management and compliance procedures. Handle, manipulate, and analyze complex data responsibly to enhance clients' risk management frameworks.
- Team Management & Development: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of associates and seniors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Invite and give constructive, in-the-moment feedback.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and meticulously review detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders. Communicate complex risk concepts clearly and articulately.
- Business Development: Support the leadership team in identifying opportunities to expand the firm’s risk management services. Actively contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client pitches.
Key Requirements
- Education: Strong educational background in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) or currently pursuing them will be a strong added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial risk management within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Domain Expertise: Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas is strictly required:
- Financial Modelling: Model Development, Validation for IFRS/MFRS 9 ECL, Scorecards, Climate risks modelling.
- Risk and Regulatory: Capital Management, Basel II / III, ICAAP, Stress Testing, FTP, and RAROC.
- Finance and Treasury: Treasury Management, Hedge Accounting, and Valuations.
- Technical Skills: Highly skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and VBA. Familiarity with programming languages such as SAS, Python, and R is a strong advantage.
- Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with exceptional written and verbal communication. You must possess the leadership gravitas to drive teams and excel professionally while upholding the firm's strict code of ethics.
